CORE contributes to STAR C’s training on regional solar energy qualification frameworks & curricula in Cape Verde
The International Network of Solar Technology and Application Resource Centres (STAR C), implemented by the International Solar Alliance (ISA), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and CORE, managed by ARE, in collaboration with ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), conducted a training on regional solar energy qualification frameworks and curricula for professionals in the field of solar thermal energy from the ECOWAS region.
The workshop, which took place on 5-6 June June 2024 in Praia, Cape Verde at the Renewable Energies and Industrial Maintenance Centre (CERMI), was led by CORE. It aimed to support ECREEE to further advance with its regional efforts to harmonise qualification frameworks and curricula related to solar thermal training.
During the training, 12 trainees learnt about solar thermal energy framework in the region and the different capacity-building activities and skills required in the sector. By equipping these trainees with the necessary expertise, CORE aims to help ECREEE advance its regional certification and examination efforts on solar thermal.
