National Training and Certification Programme on Solar Rooftop PV in Thailand

The project is led by Thailand’s Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy, in cooperation with the International Copper Association and CORE.
CORE provided technical support to the design and implementation of the national training and certification programme which aims to:
- strengthen Thailand’s National Energy Efficiency Plan and Alternative Energy Development Plan
- support the capacity building of designers and installers of solar rooftop PV
- support the development of a National Certification Programme on solar PV
2022 CORE Trainings:
- 25 trainers and 62 trainees benefited from “Solar PV rooftop training of trainers” programme held between May and July 2022
- Trainers and trainees received their certificates from the Director General of the DEDE, Ministry of Energy in a ceremony held on 23 September 2022
2023 CORE Trainings:
- A work package, national certification scheme and strategy is currently under development
